Microfinance for water

It is hard to solve the access to clean water problem through grant aid – the problem is too big. The WaterCredit Initiative has a more scaleable approach. Recognizing the creditworthiness of the poor, it has moved from one-time grants to providing small loans, successfully applying microfinance principles to cover the upfront costs of water systems.

MICROFINANCE FOR WATER

I would like to know if there is a facility for such kind, as I would like to assume that this would work well in our island "OLANGO ISLAND IN CEBU" as access to fresh and drinking water is very un affordable for whose majority of the income per family is living US$2.00 / day wuth a family member minimum of 5 pax.

I am a Voce President of an NGO based on Tingo, OLango Island in LApu-lapu City, It's a coastal barangay and our main concern is to help in the upliftment of the living standards of the people of the barangay. Our group is called CREAMS - CoastalREsources & EcologicaL aDVANCEMENT mANAGEMENT sOCIETY, iNC. iT'S A DULY SEC REGISTERED AND HAS AN ACCREDITATION OF OUR cITY GOVERNMENT. The founding members and pffocers of CREAMS ,traces all thier roots in that coastal barangay, we are one of the previledge fee who were able to study, thus we group among ourselves to help our fellow fisher folks . We would like to have an access if there is a way for our group to be able to access a MICROFINANCE FOR WATER, Please send us more informayion on this regard,

Thank you,
