Nobel Prize for economics announced

Robert Aumann and Thomas Schelling have won this year’s Nobel Prize in economics. More supplementary information available from the Nobel Committee (short or long version) or lots of commentary over at Marginal Revolution and the Washington Post.

Update: The winners of the Ig Nobel Prize have also been announced. In economics an alarm clock that runs away when you hit ‘snooze’ was the winner. In literature, an anthology of Nigerian fraud emails took the prize.
